On March 1, 2008, the book „NATO’s Secret Armies“ was published in German under the title „NATO Geheimarmeen in Europa“. The book is also available in English and seven other languages. It describes how secret armies were set up across Western Europe during the Cold War by NATO and the CIA and how in some countries these secret soldiers were linked to terror, torture and coup d’etats.
